Compressed Air Boosters or Amplifiers
Compressed air and gas booster packages, in a wide range of capacities, pressure and power ratings, are available through Scales Industrial Technologies Compressor Division. Compressed Air Boosters or amplifiers can increase pressure to a specific machine or area instead of raising the pressure of the entire plant, which can be very inefficient (a 2 psi change in pressure will result in a 1% change in power costs) and reduce reliability. Scales Industrial Technologies can build a cost effective package to meet your needs. We have built custom boosters for laser cutting tools, valve actuation, high pressure off-line storage, packaging machines and many other applications. Our custom built air or electrically powered booster compressors can amplify compressed air and many other gases from any inlet pressure to 5,000 psig.
Pictured is a custom built oil-free booster package used for product testing. This unit is oil-free and capable of providing a maximum pressure of 220 psi. It includes filtration and drying for clean oil-free compressed air.
